"Dear Team Pegasus, on behalf of Corstorphine Baptist Community Trust we once again would like to thank you for supporting our holiday programme. The vehicles have been so valuable for transporting the children all around town. You have provided opportunities to access lots of activities that would otherwise not have been available to the children. We all here would like to wish you well and all the best for the year. Thank you."

Flava and Able Touring are thrilled to announce that R&B sensation Lloyd is coming to New Zealand for the first time. He will perform one show only, with tickets on sale Thursday December 1 at 9am.
As a child, Lloyd Polite Jr., known only as Lloyd, fell in love with performing. As a student at the prestigious Atlanta-based DeKalb School of the Arts, it was clear he’d found his calling. In July 2004, at just 18 years of age, Lloyd released his debut CD, South Side. It debuted at number 11 on the US Billboard 200 and number three on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts, selling over 67,000 copies in its first week, and making Lloyd’s first major mark on the music scene. The first single spawned the Top 20 Ashanti collabo of the same name. Two more hits, "Hey Young Girl" and "Southside Remix" followed.
Lloyd released his second album Street Love in 2007. It debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop albums charts and went on to sell over half-a-million copies in the US. The album's lead single, "You", which featured rapper Lil' Wayne, was massive hit. It was Lloyd’s first single to reach the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 1 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The second single, "Get It Shawty," was another success.
In 2008, Lloyd went on to release Lessons in Love. The album featured two big collabos, "How We Do It (Around My Way)" with Ludacris and "Girls Around the World" with Lil' Wayne. The latter is an irresistible and laid-back track which remains a crowd favourite with fans of both artists. Not long after the album was released, Lloyd also collaborated again with Lil Wayne on the song "Bedrock" from Lil Wayne's record label Young Money’s compilation album. The track became a number 1 smash!
Lloyd’s current album King of Hearts was released in July, 2011. The first two singles "Lay It Down" and "Cupid" were hits but it is the third single "Dedication to My Ex (Miss That)", featuring André 3000 of Outkast, that has really blown fans and peers alike away. The smash is currently all over the radio waves and has left fans wanting more.
Between making albums, Lloyd has also found time to launch his own label, Young Goldie Music. He also prides himself on his community involvement, participating in a variety of charitable campaigns, including rapper David Banner’s Heal the Hood Benefit Concert, Usher’s New Look Foundation, and Dallas Austin Save the Music Project. Following the examples set by his peers; Lloyd plans to launch his own community organisation that will focus on providing positive role models for fatherless children. “Growing up without a father is a pain that I can personally relate too. I want to help fill that void in someone else’s life”, explains Lloyd.
With a successful recording career, business savvy and a connection to the community, Lloyd is one young person on which youth has clearly not been wasted. Don’t miss your chance to see this R&B superstar, who will be performing all his hits, plus tracks from the King of Hearts album in this energy packed, must see live show!

Austin Leonard Walsh (Leo) and Vivian Claude Walsh are remembered for making the first powered, controlled and sustained flight in New Zealand.
Visit the new Walsh Brothers photographic display at the Walsh Memorial Library and be captivated by memories of a historic event, the 100th anniversary of the Walsh brothers’ Manurewa to Papakura flight.
Not only did these courageous Kiwis launch flight in New Zealand, they set up their own flying school ‘The New Zealand Flying School’ to teach men who served in World War I how to fly.
At MOTAT you can also see Vivian’s very own pilot’s license, photographs of their flights, and embroidered wings from the New Zealand Flying School uniform.
MOTAT’s Walsh Memorial library is a reference library filled to the brim with a fascinating collection of books, journals, photographs, archives, manuscripts, maps and plans. These cover a wide range of topics including trams, trains, cars, trucks, military, civilian aviation, agriculture, photography, communications, engineering and electronics, catering to every MOTAT enthusiast’s needs.
If eager for time-out with a good book, sit back and relax in the designated family area and enjoy reading a fantastic range of educational children’s books.
