Broadcasting legend Ray Warren emcees the event, introducing arguably the greatest coach of all time, Wayne Bennett, and NZ media legend Murray Deaker, along with former teammates reminiscing on the highlights, lowlights and inside stories of Steve's career.

Manukau’s Secondary Schools Performing Arts Awards return, giving local students a chance to shine.
Talented young people will be competing for the title of Manukau’s best in categories including solo vocal, solo instrumental, group vocal, group dance and bands with performance styles ranging from traditional through contemporary to urban.
The awards are judged by accomplished New Zealand performers who are specialists in their area. Godfrey De Grut writes and arranges music as well as being a skilled multi instrumentalist, Cherie Matheson is a singer and songwriter, and Parris Goebel is one of New Zealand’s leading hip hop dancers and choreographers.

Auckland International Carnival 2010

Straight from the streets of Brazil, Venice and Notting Hill comes the thrilling spirit of Carnival, with New Zealand’s first International Carnival to be held in Auckland in November 2010.
The two day festival extravaganza will offer visitors the opportunity to experience the dazzling spectacular of Carnival and celebrate the melting pot of cultures and people that makes Auckland unique.
The highlight of the Carnival will be the Costume Carnival Parade, with hot rhythms, theatre and dance providing an exhilarating blend of creativity, colours and sounds.
There’s plenty of other activities to get excited about, with the Masquerade Ball, an all night Carnival After Party with a host of different genres of music to suit all ages, a Blue Light Disco running both days, corporate hosting opportunities, food stalls to tantalize the taste buds, vibrant craft stalls, entertainment shows and dance competitions, local and international cultural performances, great NZ bands and so much more.
The Auckland International Carnival concludes in style on Sunday night with a spectacular display of dazzling fireworks and pyrotechnics and a fun picnic atmosphere.
